Occupational Therapy (OT) and Counselling

Occupational Therapy (OT) and Counselling is available at Warrawong Medical Centre.

Occupational Therapy focuses on helping people to perform their normal activities at work, home and in their personal lives.

This includes helping to set goals, make plans to achieve them and strategies to overcome barriers. Common barriers include depression, anxiety, painful memories and emotions as well as limitations due to physical illness, pain, disability or poverty. This can include learning new skills such as relaxation, mindfulness, problem solving, communication and decision-making. It can also mean learning how to deal more effectively with other service such as Centrelink, Insurers, NDIS, Housing and JobActive.
